April is the Founder and CEO of EHR Concepts, a Jacksonville healthcare IT consulting firm she started in 2008 to make healthcare technology easier to use. Her team supports hospitals, clinics and health systems across the U.S. with EHR implementations, training, optimization, staffing, patient portal readiness and help desk support.
Her work in the field started with implementing the Department of Defense EHR globally. April also created Learnista, a branded learning platform with role-based microlearning for healthcare organizations, and she hosts the podcast The Missing Piece with April Reed. Today she also focuses on AI literacy and workforce readiness for healthcare teams.
